I built my PC 2 years ago now and I'd really like to replace my 1TB WD HDD with an SSD. The problem is that I've not kept pace with new technology and I am uncertain as to what to choose.

My motherboard is an Asus M3A78-T (790GX Chipset), and my CPU is an AMD Phenom II X4 940.

What should I go for?

TIA.

The Crucial and Intel drives are considered the most reliable but im running a 90GB OCZ Vertex 2E and it's never missed a beat. Very fast also but I guess you already know that :D

On advice I've bought the Crucial. Enabled AHCI in BIOS and a fresh install of W7. Seems OK, but not blown away by speed TBH (my first SSD). Do I need to install anything in Windows?
