I'm by no means an expert but why not just look at their rankings for Computer Science, think about whether you want to live closer to London or closer to Newcastle/Liverpool/Manchester, maybe see which is closer to your family, and whether you want the better party scene in Newcastle or the most likely more peaceful Kent (Although not sure about this part, never been and is based purely on pictures of the area :p). Also maybe take into account the better weather in Kent :p?

Well I think as of right now, Newcastle is higher then Kent in most ranks, saw something a while ago about it. Not to bothered where I'm situated in the country tbh, both places have their ups and downs. Does anyone here know if Kent has a good party scene/nightlife?

Do you play any sports or an instrument? As long as you do one of the two before and have done plenty of work experience and voluntary work you should be fine assuming your ukcat score is high as well.

The ocuk version of celebrating on this forum is a round of bc2, which I have already done and I played as engineer :P.
Well I know that with my current grades they should at least consider me, EE is not overly competitive.
 
Centurion with that Many A Levels I don't think many uni's would say no. Most people end up with 3, you have 6. 4 A's too and respectable B and C's. Well done man. :D

I do understand that medicine/doctors etc is incredibly hard to get into though and hence why I am not bothering (nor do I have any interest thank god). Good luck with the future.

As said previously, I didn't get any offers so going through clearing. Been offered a place at York to do Physics but I won't be able to get any accomodation. Leeds said they would ring back later.

I failed my AS levels a few years ago (DEEU) and thought my life was over for a day or two. I did a BTEC at a local college, got triple Distinction, and was offered a place at all universities I applied to for Computer Science.

Obviously the more prestigious universities won't take a second a glance at anyone with just a BTEC, but there are still plenty of decent ones that will.
 
LOL our whole class didn't get higher than a E along with our ICT class no one got higher than a D. One thing that really upsets the rest of the class that the teachers lied to us about our standard of coursework.

Teacher: "Trigger your coursework is outstanding and is worth B, you could stay behind and do some extra improvements?"

Me: "nah that's fine, I'm happy with the B"

Teacher: "Alright then I will submit this B grade work to the examiner\moderator"

Few days later

Teacher: "Hey trigger I just went over your work again and its a definite B grade"

Me: "yay!"

Results day

opens results....

Me: "FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU, I'm gonna have a word with her."

I finished my A levels 9 year ago. As far as I remember, they were more exhausting than my engineering degree!!

By the end I was shattered!!

But glad I got AAB :D

We were given a letter depending on our results. Letter 1 was you did well, Letter 2 was you did okay and a non-urgent meeting is needed just to go over things, and Letter 3 is you did **** we need to have an "Urgent" meeting. I got BBCDU (U in the subject I'm dropping) and got Letter 3 and a friend got BCDDE and got Letter 2...FFFFUUUUUU. They obviously have something against me. This is AS btw.
 
Only passed two, will resit the year. But I'll replace Further Maths with Economics and Chemistry with Biology. Further Maths sucked up all of my revision time, and I'm just not bright enough for it.
