Will my MSI GX660r Play this game ok?

Plays everything else on top setting, but main reason for going for a top end lappy was for this game... Seems its may not be able to run it on top settings?

but you would think, given the emphasis on teamwork in battlefield, that there would be a feature where you could create a squad online and then join a server with enough spots. It just really annoys me when there are say 5 of us on vent and we are on different teams.

Totally agree. Something like that would be fantastic. Would be so easy to set up games against others who game as a team.

Used to love clan battles on BF2, but they just took so long to set up sometimes. Imagine being able to sit there on battlelog with friends in Vent and be able to look for other groups who are looking for a battle!

Given that you are only running at 1366 x 768 you may well be able to run it maxed out. I know at gamescon however the PC's were packing GTX580 SLI however I'm not sure what the average frames were like.

That would be epic, and I think it would encourage allot more competitive play. It's not rocket science; I wonder why they haven't done anything about it

That's the beauty of it. Stuff like that will happen. I genuinely believe it to be the way forward and dice will either add it or because its web based allow others to do so. Because its external it can be expanded and revised without having to patch the game. It's genius if you think about it.

Hello,

So you don't think i will be able to run it at the native res of 1920x1080? Guess its all about waiting and finding out for my self.

Has anyone played this game yet? Heard there was a demo out for people who signed up to something?

EDIT: Thanks Zefan, just spotted your post.

Sorry, I thought your res was lower than that. The only way to be sure is to wait for the beta as I assume the demand on graphics will be similar to the final release. Judging by the alpha performance you will really struggle at that res on high, that is, if you like your min frames to stay above 60FPS.

That is not dedicated, they are all shared boxes. Already got one of those running BC2. ;)

LOL just noticed we share our box with nM! - http://www.gametracker.com/search/?query=85.236.100.70 :D

i noticed before :p

we have just paid for a bf3 from multiplay and will be keeping the bfbc2 there aswell.

as far as i know you cant have your own dedi for bf3 just rent a server as darren would have done this himself as he has his own dedi box with other servers on. this is why they took it away so they can milk the prices . to put in context you can have your own dedi box and run 8-10 servers for same price as one 64 man bf3 server joke tbh and just shows what really is the motive behind swopping from dedis :(

You can have your own dedi but you lose root and rdp access due to restrictions put down by EA and Dice.

That's a shockingly bad article written to simply increase traffic by scaremongering. In game menu was done by simply pressing esc when in game, during alpha. It worked fine.

Console is getting the older ingame system where as pc is getting the much improved (imho) battlelog system. We shouldn't fear change if its positive.

My God, that reflects really really badly on nVidia lol
Not really. It was spot on and clear. BF3 has 3D support for nvidia and amd hardware, mp is sounding ok, and you are going to need a monster pc rig to run this game with all the bells and whistles on high resolution monitors.

One of the best and clear cut interviews imho.
