Monitor problems

Hi

I am trying to connect my monitor to my computer. I have installed different drivers etc but still no luck.

It is not displaying my resolution in the menu and listed as Generic Pnp monitor.

It's onboard graphics of an Asus M4N68T-M motherboard
It's BenQ G2220HD

Have you installed the drivers for the onboard GPU?

If you're on Windows 7 then you shouldn't need to do anything for the monitor: see here.

Presumably drivers, if required, will be installed through Windows update.

If you're on XP or Vista then the drivers are here.

Are you running at the native resolution of 1920x1080?

As you're using a VGA connection you should use the "auto adjust" feature on the monitor.

Try turning ClearType on if it isn't already.
