I'm very tempted to get the monitor. I currently own the Hanns G 27" model with the same resolution but the missus is jealous now and wants to have the big screen. Would this Dell 24" model be an upgrade for me? Seems like it's in a different league and despite it being 3" smaller, the resolution is the same.

The Hanns is nice for the price and size, I use to have one, id say the Dell will be a much clearer picture though, especially for desktop gaming.

Thanks Walkerie, for leading me into tempation even more... Here's the thing, I actually worked from a Macbook Pro 13" for a year, whose screen I really like despite, obviously, how small it is. I then purchased a desktop with the 27" monster screen and though I like it, when you put the Macbook next to the Hanns you notice how much more crisp the Macbook is. I've never had an IPS panel nor have I ever seen one, I think, but now that they become within reach for non-professionals (I mainly do office work all day from home, and occasional gaming), this is becoming an option to consider I suppose. Any advice? The missus really wants the Hanns G so I suppose I'm only looking for an excuse to upgrade...
