Only thing I would use tablets for for kids would be for preloaded movies with the command of "don't touch this"

Why?

My son already uses my existing Touchpad - he can launch anything he wants to (loves the paint program and has no problem navigating to the disney movies I've put on it for him) and he's really careful with it.
