PCW Update:

Called them up with order number. Very hassled (and rude) sounding guy on phone. He told me that they only had a few physical tablets in stock in the morning, and the rest of their stock had to be ordered in. But that they would fulfil your order if you had a "preparing your PC World order for delivery" email. They just couldn't give a date.

I'm not sure he realised the situation surrounding the touchpads as it sounded like a bit of a canned response...where are they going to get more stock from :(??

Do you reckon this applies to Dixons as well...even though I ordered before the price drop?

I swear by Thor's Hammer that if Argos drop their price at 5pm I'm going to go postal as I won't be able to buy it until 5.30 :(

phoned argos, theyve not heard anything about price shifting from their suppliers yet so is still going to go for retail price. they do have them in stock but he didnt know how many. most bricks and mortar stores are completely out of stock he said.

Try and get one then, they are out of stock unless you have one reserved.

so only employees can use it :/ just dissapointment after dissapointment :/ unless someones willing to buy another and send me it and ill pay a little extra.

Doubt it, we'll see the PR debacle unfold there shortly once TheRegister and co lambast them.

Simple update on Twitter over the 2 hour period saying, actually we're selling them at full price sorry chaps, would have saved a lot of people getting ****ed off.

Well they've kept their biggest customers happy! £200,000 a year or a one off £99? It's a hard decision.

Does anyone have any updates from PCW? I got one ordered when it said it was in stock. I chose free delivery however nothing has changed on the order page.
