online. though this might be bein greedy as i have 2 out fior delivery, this was an order i placed online, then i placed one by phone. the one placed by phone should be here any minutes, these two, if they come will be extras.
 
Going to see if local Staples/Other DSGi place that sounds like food :-) and see if there are any - Ordered from CPW but not sure if it will come - If I end up with two I can always try to return it or sell it.

Was exactly my plan.

Couldn't get on the account page on Play.com for a while, just got on and is now showing status as awaiting stock even though was in stock when I ordered... will have to see what happens.
 
Got an email from CPW

Thank you for choosing to purchase your HP Touchpad at The Carphone Warehouse. We're writing to let you know that unfortunately due to high demand, there has been a slight delay in processing your order.

We will contact you as soon as possible to confirm your request has been completed, and to organise delivery for all successful orders. This may take up to a week for a small number of customers but we are working hard to minimise the delay.

We have not taken any money from your account, and will not do so unless we send you an order confirmation email.

We are extremely sorry for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience with this issue.

Got the same email but they took the money last night :confused:

Edit: I think. Tried ordering from so many places it could be anyone in reality. Barclay Card's still showing as pending transaction :o

Phoned them, said have no stock even though was in stock at the time, usual blurb about subject to change etc. etc.

Oh well never mind.

Worst thing is having to talk to idiots who can just about speak English.
 
I still haven't had an email from CPW, not even the one above! :( Boooo hisssss, all I want to know is if I'm getting one or not. If not I'll buy myself some hard drives! I'll ring them towards end of tomorrow if I haven't got an email by then. I would love one of these especially if they sort out Android for it! yum yum

My order now says:

I'm taking this as a positive......sob....sob
 
Nearly 24 hours after i got the email telling me its being prepared for dispatch they send one saying "Your order has been cancled, you will be refunded shortly".

No apologies or explanation, really hate Dixons now! :(
