On my staples account, the order had been completely removed - cant see any reference to an order anywhere

On Amazon it says "not yet dispatched"...

Im not sure im gonna be getting one of these :(

From who? And was it an online or phone order?

I got the CPW email too and i didn't think it was too bad until i saw the "We will contact you as soon as possible to confirm your request has been completed, and to organise delivery for all successful orders.".

I called them again and the guy said that they had had 3000 orders last night and orders have been put on hold until the new stock arrived. New stock was due to come in within the next 48 hours. Although he, like the other two i spoke to today, reiterated that anyone who received the first confirmation email would be able to get one. Fingers crossed. If they don't come through i'm going to go around to CPW CEO's house and kick his dog.

I also spoke to PCW and some Indian woman i could barely hear/understand but she said that PCW was out of stock and my order was on back order and she didn't know how long it would be and told me to wait for emails. :rolleyes:

So, hopefully, i should have one by the New Year (fingers crossed)!

What time did you get your first confirmation email? Did you order online or over phone?
 
Managed to order a 32gb through Staples. Stock is not 100% guaranteed however, but they are expecting a significant shipment. Half our floor just ordered one after hearing me order one.
 
Just phoned and spoke to a very nice chap who told me most people (who have got one) have been allocated a tablet, but won't receive a confirmation email till later or tomorrow. (CPW)

Also spoke to Amazon who said the reason they appeared out of stock was because the system didn't have a chance to catch up and they're currently heavily backlogged. So I guess we just have to wait and see.
 
Kicking myself for not knowing about this till this morning. Would have been nice to have one of these.

Guess I'll have to keep checking all usual sites for the next couple of days to see if I can pick one up :(
