Does anyone have any idea what would happen to all these "Not Yet Dispatched" orders from the Rainforest? I mean, it's been almost 24 hours already and they haven't canceled them. Are they trying to find more stock?

Me neither, had the confirmation but saying they will let me know when it is in stock and ready to be dispatched.

Surely if they were not going to get more they would have cancelled it by now (you would hope)?

Rumour has it they are getting stock from hp and other retailers, knowing Amazon I think most of us will get one.
Thank god that I am going on holiday as my paranoid self would be checking everyday.

do people think they'll honour orders in the order they got them, or perhaps smaller first? eg. i accidentally ordered 2 and worried they may think greedy bugger and please 2 customers rather then 1. no cancellation email yet. i ordered yesterday at 19:35 and my number is 56** so way higher then the chillimonster :s

There is no GSM version just wifi

I believe so, something was mentioned about it in the official Hp Touchpad thread in the Laptop forum. Would be great to have especially since the memory isnt expandable. Basically becomes the 64GB version.

I've just got off the phone to Amazon. You can ring them yourselves and they will offer the same information.

Last night, they had a small stock which some few people managed to receive. The people with "no delivery estimate" have NO stock allocated to their order. We have merely preordered the product for when it becomes available next. She also confirmed however, that Amazon are in communication with HP and their suppliers to receive more stock. "If or when new stock becomes available, customers who ordered the item last night but are showing "no delivery estimate" are first priority." The next shipment of items will be reserved for those people like ourselves if they can get stock at all.
