Maybe you haven't seen this -

Swipe upwards from the bezel to minimise the current window, means you don't need to press the home button to get out of something. So awesome :p

Doing the cloud thing soon.

If that's the case near you, mind picking me one up? No local stores have them here!

It was earlier, I can check tomorrow when I go past.

This thing isn't slow at all and I've used an iPad 2 for months.

I'm a pretty heavy tablet user and apart from the lack of apps, I have few criticisms. It could be thinner and made out of aluminium, but the performance is perfect. My second phone has been a Palm Pre 2 and so I don't need to be told how good WebOS is. The screen is also not as bright as an iPad 2 at 100%, but I use my iPad 2 at 50% anyway.

Hi all just wanted to say Carphone warehouse has great service i received my touch pad last night 7pm - ordered 7pm ish on monday night. Ordered over the phone!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't understand stacks on this thing. What is the point of them? I can't find a way of cycling through the stack without swiping/home button.

other than that it is a good tablet. There are some bugs but nothing that HP couldn't have ironed out in a month. So far:
1. There seems to be no way of organising bookmarks
2. After starting a new paragraph it doesn't auto-capitalise (see the beginning of this para)

for 115 it is fricking awesome value

Didnt know the button did anything ;) My dads picked it up pretty well, my mum hasnt :p. Dno how to activate the cloud thing :p

Apologies in advance for the terrible pictures with the flash, but these may help (?) -
snipped pics.

Ta, that looks very nice (AND SHINY!!!). I might pop past a PC World tomorrow, only 1 near me so will have to gamble they have it in stock. Website shows no stock but during the tablet madness people mentioned the DSG websites show no in store stock if the number available is less than 5.

Reserved one at Argos as well, in case it goes half price as someone else mentioned.

Also, it displays a choice of 3 different (all nice looking) clocks when on the stand, or your photo albums.

It can charge in portrait or landscape modes too. It's almost a must-have IMO.

i wonder what this will do for the tablet market. will this turn more users on to tablets and help boost sales in the future, or will this perhaps steal enough sales that others suffer and don't show the good sales predicted to perhaps a harm the market, though with android being on it i'm sure this wont be the case.

i wanted a tablet but didn't desperately need one just yet so have held out for now. if i get this one i can't see me upgrading for years to come (i've had my pc for over 5 years and still going good) and especially not when i've paid £89 for one that's top of the range, then have to go back to the normal £400 price tag

Well I've been holding out on a tablet for a while, a side of me wanted windows 7 with a stylus (I do design), another side wanted android.
I refused to buy an iPad as it's basically a blown up iPod touch with no access to files etc. I didn't want the touchpad initially as it was 4:3 ratio, I wanted widescreen ratio and so I was kind of in limbo holding out on amazon's rumoured slate, galaxy tab 10.1 (thin) or asus transformer with quad core tegra.... then the touchpad dropped to £89 for the 16GB and I was like hell I'll take one of those at that price even with the 4:3 ratio, might even save me buying another one if it's any good :o

Isn't there an agenda/calendar one too, was shown in the promo vids

Hey all, been reading through this thread for some time (extremely useful thank you all) so finally got round to setting up an account, unfortunately my amazon order seems to be a no go :( anyone have any idea if there will be more chances to purchase at any point?

Aaaannnnddd... When the Windows 8 Beta comes out we may be able to stick that on...;)

However other than ARM compatible I have no idea what hardware it actually needs so whether that is possible is...

That stand looks very nice. I did wonder about one of them but thought it will be too expensive and not worth it but looking at that if I can find one for cheap it may be bought. Question is in a couple of months will there be any accessories available for it and if so will they be super expensive?

Yep, calendar exhibition mode is working, you just have to tick the box for it in settings. Looks great too!

Hard to say, they are all half price most places at the moment.

unless you get the cancellation email don't give up hope just yet. but don't get you're hopes up either as i believe most of HP's remaining stock is being shipped to the US.

as far as future chances go...everywhere (apart from Argos) has dropped their price & sold out now but a few of them are trying to get more stock in from HP. However, as mentioned earlier i believe HP has shipped it's remaining stock to the US as they indicated a need for it before UK retail outlets so don't get you're hopes up on that one either!

The general consensus is that Argos will drop their prices tomorrow (today ;) ) AM - currently their website says that they're sold out - so unless they've got a warehouse full of them even that is unlikely.
