Poll: HP TouchPad - $99 in US - any sign of UK drop?

Wow, random, just got a receipt from Comet saying my 32Gb Touchpad will be delivered on the 5th September, anyone know how likely these are to actually turn up?

They said they were getting more stock so I'd say fairly likely.

It was pretty obvious that was what they would have to say though and pretty obvious that wasn't going to happen. They would have had to deal with loads of returns otherwise. It wasn't exactly a risk as you could have just returned it to a store for a full refund.

Oh well, bad luck.

I reserved one in Argos a few days ago at full price. It said something like available for pick up between Aug 25 to Sep 1 or something.

Can I go in today with my number and pick it up or do I need to wait?

It's weird because on the confirmation email it says out of stock, but when I reserved it gave me the above dates.

Just wasted an hour of my day getting to and from. :/

They said to call back later to see if the person had picked it up, which I'm sure they would've.

Yeah they remove allocated/reserved stock off the reserve stock listing.

Which means the one you reserved could well be there for you,

Lol, fair comment but one is for me, one for my gf, another 2 for work colleagues and my boss asked me to get him 3 last night (1 for him and 1 each for his 2 children)

Was tempted to order 20 and sell 13 on Ebay at £60 to £70 profit each but can't be bothered.
