After PCW stole my reservations on Monday and I got suspended on this forum I remembered I had a reservation at Comet. Needless to say I paid the full price for the 32gb model with the knowledge that I would get the lower price when I came back in with the receipt the next day and refund the difference back to me. Comet are awesome. Then began the hunt for a version for my brother, and it did not go well. Everyone was bringing down retail websites.
Royal Mail woke me up this morning at 8 with a parcel, the 32gb model I won on ebay. Now I was happy and was going to leave the hunt to those who had not found the elusive pad. Until someone mentioned that Argos honored a reservation that ran out on Monday, well so did mine and so I travelled to the local Argos extra and the manager didn't even bat an eyelid, just took my money and gave me my 32gb touchpad.

So I have 3, one for myself, one for my brother and the other well.....

P.s. The case, keyboard and touchstone are all worth it. Just used all of them them to type this post.
 
I still have a 32gig Reservation at argos for tomorrow at the Chelmsley Wood branch.
I did give this out to a forum member but he was unable to go and pick it up.

Another forum member got his 16gig from another Reservation I had so if anyone wants this You will have to pick it up.

It's just outside Brum and Solihull.Email in trust.

im desparatly hoping one of my 3 reservations [valid FROM tomorrow] at argos are there! the guy on the phone said one i checked would be!

Can you give some more details on this? did you just give them the reservation number?

1) CPW have 3 for 2 on accessories, and HP items seem to be included in it. Basically you don't pay for the cheapest item. I bought 1 touchstone (£35) and 2 official cases (£17.50 each) and only got charged for 1 case. Might be a good deal if you need multiple accessories (The keyboard or international charger was also included, but I did not want those).

Has anyone had any luck buying the touchstone and case in store at Argos? Both are out of stock for home delivery and can't reserve for in store pickup...
 
Long time lurker, first time poster. I have an order with "a telephone house" and one with HP for 1 each, lord knows what's happening with the HP ones.
Just got off the phone with Telephone house and even though my order is still on the first "ordered" stage they said I would be getting one as soon as they get to it while packing. This is with order no. xxxxx30xx , and I did get the "delay" email yesterday.

I have to say that Telephone house have really come through here, going by the numbers I've seen floating around they had thousands of orders and a lot of them are getting sent out, compare that to a giant like "Rain forest" who cancelled pretty much everyone's orders.. :mad:
