Do you ever see life as your own personal RPG

So 7 means you can copy others?:p

it means you can play the hardest tabs around + you can create your own music, know many scales a fair amount of theory and can play all over the fret baord. Improvising and stuff is easy. Advanced skills tapping, appregios, harmonics, shredding etc are all acquired.

Level 8 means above but you are making some quality own productions, minimal to zero errors and slack playing, most likely playing for a living.

Level 9 youd be famous at least

level 10 you are a guitar god

Never ever played Sims. I Was thinking about trying it recently..Is it really addictive? good?

It's alright if you like Sim City-type games where you got to build stuff. It's loosely like an RTS (real time strategy), because once you've created your characters and their dwellings, you play them in real time while other households are being played by the computer and they get to interact. The objective is mainly to level up their career, get more income so that you can 'buy' everything. The character details are very smart too, being able to adjust just about everything that the body anatomy allows. Graphically, I don't know if the latest Sims (Sims 3) have the most detailed sprites as it's 2 years old now, but it is the best I've seen for detail. It makes WoW look very dated.

How about I end this for all.
The scale cannot be used as everyone has completely different tastes in guitar music.
/thread.

taste =/= skill

I dont like hevay metal but that dont mean that some Heavy metal guitarists arent 9/10.

My scale was applied to skill and ability to create advanced compositions with guitar. Not the actual ''music''

What scales do you know? are you professionally taught? do you play by tabs?

me:

self taught via books and internet

I know so many scales no point listing them all but only use a few most off the time, I usually base my lead play aroudn the notes in the key and vary it. I dont rigidly stick to 100% scale though most often use pentatonic or blues scale when playing lead. I know them in many keys and how to transfer keys on the fretboard(though this is all rather simple)

I can play tabs or sheet music, which I self studied also. However, I have not used sheet music for years so would need to revise again.

I can learn a tune or hear it by ear also. Play guitar so long you can learn/recall/hear repeat notes or riffs or patterns in many songs and where on fretboard they are playing.

its not linear

1 is like a begginer

3-4 play a few chords and tunes

5 play chords and maybe a little bit lead

7 you can play Led Zep etc...but not creative

at level 7 you can play most tabs even advanced tabs and create your own riffs, solos etc..

at level 9-10 you are almost god like...

10 is Van Halen

Noel Gallagher is prob a 7-8

So between levels 7 and 9 you go from being able to "create your own riffs" to being "almost god like"? Pointless scale is pointless.

Its my RPG, its my scale, its my programming.

You make your own RPG this is mine and this is how it works...You aint in my RPG so you need not bother and there is no refunds anyway.

I know it's yours, but I think it's ridiculous. Why confine all the actual skill and experience of a good guitarist within 20% of the full scale? Do you claim to be "almost god like" at knowledge and speed, other attributes that you're level 9 in?

I know this is only a joke and not to be taken seriously, but I like my RPGs to at least be a little challenging...:p

Jimi Hendrix didn't know what a scale was so he was only a 1 or 2.
I've been playing guitar at least twice as long as Hendrix, maybe three times as long so that puts me at a 9 or 10 and I know how to use Guitar Pro which he never had.
