Just phoned HP regarding dodgy link...... they were a bit confused but definitely sold out,then I got this.

Info I got this morning....
HP are only offering the partial refund/discount to people who purchased the Touchpad directly with HP themselves, so no point looking at the full priced ones and hoping for a reduction through HP.
There goes the pay full price and hope for a discount plan

I have a MISSION in operation right now which MIGHT secure me one. Fingers crossed. Going to cost me a bit more but hopefully it goes to plan and I come out with a TrolololPad.

First mistake maybe
I'm holding off to till tomorrow 10am when the Palm store message is supposed to be updated, the Wednesday message went straight to the Friday update notice which makes sense if HP staff had already brought them all.Of course I'm not hopeful (sorry Hank
) and I imagine that HP staff will get first dibs, but I'm still intrigued why somebody thought it would be a good idea to let the main HP site go live (with the £69 price) and let a few people try to make purchases (although there were cancelled pretty quick).
"Dodgy" link is still going for me...no expected cancellation email as of yet
only seems to be people who are ringing up to confirm who are being cancelled...heres hoping the dodgy link pulls off.
