No got my touchpad from amazon, picked up the touchpad and case at local pcworld. I ordered from amazon at reduced price, got it literally as the price dropped monday (I think lol). Got confirmation at 12.01 posted in here and then it was literally sold out.

Worst "Please sell me one, pleeeeeease..." post ever.

:p

"Easy for me to say as I don't have a spare I know, but none the less, all other things being equal it'd put whoever did it on the list for a "Man of Honour" as far as I'm concerned."

But he's already got one :p

Pfft, he clearly wants another!

Uhhhh I ave signed up to about seven online stores since this ordeal has begun, and had a dream/nightmare last night that 100 stock had come through at Tesco and it was a mad panic to get one...and the annoying thing is I didn't even get one in the blumin dream...

I hope HP do decide to send more stock to the UK, it would be worth their while now to bump up the price a little and they would still shift loads of stock.

just received dispatch email from CPW, citilink tracker not working , anyone have any idea which link works for tracking.

Comet swore on Allah himself they were getting more stock :( and even showed it to me on their stock software.

Over the phone?

Various reliable sites have stated more stock will be coming?

The problem is, all of these reliable sites have been quoting a US blog post by a US HP employee who's talking about more US stock being made available. For some reason countless UK sites have taken this to mean the UK will get more stock.

These sites all quote the blog post made by Mark Budgell, and he confirmed on his own twitter feed that he doesnt know about stock situations outside the US (http://twitter.com/#!/markathp).

Simple conclusions can be drawn. HP are making losses, they will want to minimise these losses. They will not ship stock to the UK just because if they can liquidate it in the US. If shipping to the UK nets them more (read, less loss) because of the exchange rates and sold price (meaning HP rebate less) then they might well do it.

I find it hard to believe stock will leave the US unless it HAS to though.

Yes very good point!

Anyone else have any cancelled orders from XPS, my 32 GB actually has "Customer cancelled" next to it, which I would never do such a crazy thing as that! 16 GB still not cancelled though.

Yes, over the phone.

The only chance for more stock to turn up in retail outlets is anything that is already in distribution.

HP UK said catagorically, over the phone, that they had no new stock coming into the UK.

Citylink tracking doesn't usually start working until late into the evening the item is dispatched. This is because they Citylink haven't even received the parcel themselves yet, it's just CPW telling you that they're going to, eventually, get it. This applies to any retailer that uses CL and not just CPW. It was like this when OCuk used CL and plenty of other online stores that still do.

tl;dr -> check it later tonight :)
