When did you order with Comet Dave?

22 August 2011 20:29

They phoned the next day and said sorry not in stock for next day delivery, but we can do the 5th September. They have taken payment from my CC and I had an email the next day with an order number and dates etc.

I reserved mine same day at 11am, confirmed which store it was in and email confirmation. Rang them the next day twice to confirm it was still there. Got to the store, no stock and no evidence of my order. Massive screw up with their central booking system. Ended up paying for it/paid order in the hope I would get one once more stock arrives early September but don't have much hope. Interesting to hear they have told you more stock is coming, fingers crossed. I was told their main depot would get it on the at the end of the month and the store I visited on the 2nd.

I don't understand why people are buying them from eBay for double the price.

Just sold my 16gb for £225 to a guy who just wanted a rotating photo display, he paid come and picked it up, very happy, 75% of the population don't know about the £89 deals.

It wasn't me that had the code I was just giving people a heads up.

Cheers, I thought that but was a little late and could not see anything on the linked page..

Well for me I've had about enough of all this now !
I should have been braver and ordered at full retail other that that I've tried everywhere so I guess it's not to be.

Dixons just delivered - now I need to try and get a refund from the full price I paid.

same here - I called them and they said they will refund the difference - but I havent had confirmation by email yet -
thus havent opened my touchpad yet :D

let me know how you get on with your dixons refund.

Babs have edited my order down from 5 to 1 x 32gb now!! They must've over allocated.

Looks like you over-allocated first :D

On a more serious note, they probably just want to be fair and spread it out to make sure that everyone gets just one (per order) like that big high street catalogue place did :)
