Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Between the Bombcast and Eurogamer it sounds like a really brilliant update of the first game.

Which is good, considering the first game is one of the best games evar.

Great game so far, only annoying bit is that people don't regain consciousness and stay out cold unless detected by someone else. A little annoying really, and such a shame for a game this good.

Are there stealth games where people regain consciousness? I've not come across any. Usually it's just that they wake up if someone finds them.

tranquillising people and then shooting them in the face never gets old, this game is brining back all the hours wasted on the first two games, looks pretty good on PS3, you can just tell that the story is going to be awesome

Won't you find it weirder or more annoying if they did wake up like that then proceedeed to sound oor not sound the alarms. I felt it was a good design choice for balanceing the numbers needed for tradtional FPS shoting without hampering/slowing the stealth gameplay too much (i.e sitting around w8ing for guards to stop being alarmed.

I'm fairly sure.... erm (memory don't fail me now!!!) that they used to wake back up in the first Deus Ex; without people finding them.

I'm going to nip to a supermarket and grab my copy today though, and if this is as good as I hope, then..... OH MY GOD, Thief 4!!!! :D

Not that I recall. I seem to remember making huge piles of bodies because you knew they wouldn't wake up... Or maybe that was Splinter Cell. They definitely didn't wake up on their own in Splinter Cell.

£33.97 in one supermarket.

I dont remember a single game with waking up people like that. I'm currently going through without killing a single person (despite what the cutscenes say) and it would be impossible with them waking up all the time!

Oh btw quick spoiler question

Did anyone else get annoyed that in the chinese area, the mission for your pilot, where you have to access that blokes room that killed her mate. As far as I could see there was no way in there cept for hacking a lvl3 panel. Which meant wasting valuable points for me! It sounds silly but every other objective so far has had multiple methods and this one only had 1.

Also for the life of me I cannot hack past the media screen control terminal in Tongs club, upstairs. I've tried about a dozen times now and its driving me nuts. Does anyone know where the code is kept?

Arrrgggghhhh, I don't know now.... I *think* they woke up on the original Deus Ex - as I used to keep pumping the tranquilliser darts into them for more time. I know that they didn't wake up on Thief or the SC games.... only one way to tell, would be to play it again :D Shame I'm a lazy console gamer these days :p

Woo, went ahead with trading in my DS Lite and a couple of games at CeX, then round the corner to Game and picked up a copy of this. Looking forward to playing this tonight!
