I literally believe the only way i'll get one now is ebay, I won't be using amazon again either.

Yeah I'm starting to think like this also, I made a new post in the Wanted section of these boards but not holding my breath - there's so much demand.

What will be, will be.

I sure I heard the HP will be refunding difference if you paid full price after August 1st, so if Expansys do go down the rip off route, could we not just get our refund from HP?

I believe at this point, HP are only refunding customers who bought directly. For clients who purchased from retailers at full price, it's up to the retailer to issue the refund - regardless of what price HP gave the retailer on wholesale....

At this point, I've given up hope..

Why's following simple supply and demand ideas "despicable"?

HP are not writing down the cost to make retailers rich.

Of course, it may be that HP are not underwriting every Touchpad. In which case I suppose full-price is justified

But don't forget the Touchpad is not (yet) a going concern in terms of apps/games/firmware so full price for a currently dead-end machine is pretty exploitative, even if Expansys paid full wholesale price.

I totally agree with this. My mate is a store manager at a large electrical retailer. Asked him to let me know if they get any more in (apparently even the stores are being given little to no info)...if they do and I get told...when I know, you'll know!! :p

The idea that increasing cost is exploitative and despicable are laughable. Have you seen the cost of commodities recently? perception based cost runs out entire economy...

Just spoken to CPW and my order failed some security check (along with a large number of others). Apparently they can't change anything or the order will be cancelled so a team is going to go through over the next week and manually process them.

Initially CPW told me my card had failed the address check but MasterCard said they had approved the payment so it seems to be CPW's system with the problem.

Well looks like BT is finally starting to shift some of my outstanding orders.

I have noew received 3 shipping confirmations and DHL tracking numbers :D

I am still awaiting confirmation on 6 others which, if I get them, will all be spare and up for sale at cost to ocuk MM members.

I'll keep you all posted. I think that will mean that the guys I contacted on MM already, I should be able to fulfill their requests with what I have coming but will send them emails over the weekend.

Hope I get some more for you boys and I;ll let you know if BT get more in.

Cheers.
