There are two different RST packs released around the same date, but completely different version numbering.

RST 1.0.0.1046 June 2011
RST 1.6.0.1022 June 2011

Only difference seems to be 1046 includes a GUI.

The readme file for each download is the same, so not sure if 1022's support for RAID 5 & 10 is specific to it.

Is it just GUI inclusion difference?

As per the information on the pages you linked to (perhaps you just missed that bit?).

IN answer to your question: I don't know.

However I'm waiting on a small ssd for rst, do you use it and how do you find it?

I only have a single SSD and no mechanical drive and use the RST for latest Intel AHCI driver. Don't use any of the software included with it.

Yep, missed that. Saw the list of supported chipsets in description and didn't read any further it seems.
