What film did you watch last night?

like Film 4 is doing with it's FrightFest theme I am going through old and new horror/zombie films. I just saw it coming up on film4 so stuck it on record and went to bed. I'll give it a go and see.

Equilibrium - 8/10 Great film, found it quite thought provoking
The Dark Knight - 9/10 Love it, a great follow up to Batman Begins

Coraline - 8/10 Quite creepy for a childrens animated film. Great art style. Nephew (7) found it too scary though lol

Edit: Just been told it was stop motion.... that's impressive!

Sucker punch it's entertaining but a bit odd and I didn't really get the end unless it's just the blatantly obvious. 6/10

Fast Five. Better than the 2nd and 3rd and very watchable as an action flick 6/10

Avatar, 3rd time I've watched it and still as brilliant as ever, I dont understand why people say it lacks story. 10/10

I've just finished watching Source Code. Good film and I enjoyed watching it, but the ending has left me very confused
It's really bugging me the fact that I don't fully understand it :o

Dark Knight for the 1000th time. 8/10

I got my copy of Dark knight (steel book) earlier this week. Not watched it yet. Might watch it later or over the next couple of days.

I saw a couple of films at the pictures yesterday.

1) Final Destination 5 (3D) - was okay but opening credits was off putting (unnecessary) and started off slow and thought it was following high school kids! The bridge part was best and other bits were okay. 6/10 (3D was rubbish btw)

2) Conan the Barbarian (2D) - enjoyed this film more than FD5. Good old sword and sorcery film with semi naked peeps. :D 7/10

Never Back Down 2 - Not as entertaining as the first and felt very rushed with very weak character development and average fight scenes.

Final Destination 5 - Enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would, well paced and didn't drag on and the 3d was actually good imo.

Watched a documentary, The wildest dream, conquest of everest. Tells the story of George mallory's 1924 attempt to climb mount everest, and how modern day everest expert, Conrad anker attempts to free climb the notorious second step, an obstacle that many think would have been impossible to climb in mallory's day, asks the question of wether or not mallory may have made it to the summit almost thirty years before Hilary. 9/10

127 Hours !! 5/10

it was alright !

I'd give the film a 9/10 purely for its Cinematography and Soundtrack, some of the shots are stunningly beautiful.

Add on top of that a very gripping real story, and some very, very good acting. overall it impressed me massively.

Each to their own I guess, I think a lot of people missed the best parts of the film though. As they usually come out saying, oh well it wasn't that exciting, or interesting...
