Gah just got back to Bristol now and was gonna try and get a dock. Sure they are all gone?

Definitely gone from all the CPWs in Broadmead/Cabots/Clifton Triangle and the PC World in Cabots. Just rang up PC World and they said there's none in stock within a 200 mile radius but I'm not sure how confident I would be in that as Cabot Circus had 2, but they were just to the side of the till and I doubt they were even on the system. Might be worth checking the Cribbs one Winterstoke Road stores.

Btw poundland are selling neoprene cases that fit perfectly for £1. Bargain.

Excellent. Will pop in next week!

It's ridiculous how much accessories are going for on ebay. They've increased in price since the HP touchpad got a price cut.

The touchstone for example sells for £60+ regularly. That's more than what some of the big retailers had them at before the price cuts.

Just went into currys/pcworld, they had sold out of the samsung 10.1.... I tried the xoom and was impressed apart from what was really dissapointing was some of the apps looked strected to fit the screen, however it was smooth..

The on way out I turned to the dark side and tried the Ipad2, wish I had not as it is a thing of beauty, but I can not help feeling that the choice is

Go android so I can have free apps, but they look ****

Go Ipad 2 where apps look fantastic but cost money but the re-sell value of the ipad2 will probably be incredibly high

There's a rumour Argos might be getting stock in on the 11th. Does anyone have any information regarding this?

I think now it's just a case of running around the internet like a headless chicken and getting lucky.

Failing that, it's just a case of running around local stores like a headless chicken and getting lucky.

I very much doubt it, from reading around most suppliers are now saying discontinued, also just saw this posted

"at the Fenestra website, they quote someone who phoned HP who confirmed that there won't be any more stock for the UK"

I really think it is done, I am now turning my attention to waiting for the ebay market to come right down in price..

What is annoying me is how rude the shops are becoming, been in 2 argos, PC world, John Lewis, Tesco today and all of them give me a bigh sigh and a curt "no"

in one argos I even heard him go out back and laugh about it with the manager...grrr

This is because Apple approve the apps before they can be sold on the App Store. This usually results in higher quality apps. The charge to be part of the Apple Development Network is $99 per year, the android is much cheaper.

Mind you there are a lot of beautiful apps for the Android but not as many.

I think tomorrow I'll admit defeat. Can't waste any more of my time searching for a proverbial needle in a haystack..... This has been the most frustrating week in my life!!!

Blimey, that's terrible. If I had that kind of service I would be on the phone to their customer service department. Why don't they put a sign up saying "No Touchpads in stock." if they're that bothered about it?

I read a similar rumour but for Tesco over at HUKD. Seems like it could be chinese whispers. Give it another day or so and I'm sure someone will be mention that Poundland will also be getting some in on Sept 11th :D
