Yesterday. :D Impulse buy tbh as it was £215 with infamous 2..

Its all installed now and patched so will have a go over the weekend.

If you ever need to borrow a car or need some help or something like that just ask ( you can borrow cars off of friends profiles to use in races :3)

Really struggling to get into GT5. It just seems a bit meh it all seems a bit drab and boring. The handling is good but the AI is god damn awfull.. Hopefully after a few more hours it will improve but its just not doing it for me at the moment.
I was hoping it would have improved a bit since I borrowed a PS3 last year and had a few days on it but it has not. Really want to enjoy it but strugling.

Just keep at it.... If you've played lots of other driving games, then you may find it like myself, underwhelming, but it's more then good enough to pass some time on..

Try the special events, they are actually far better then the normal A-Spec event stuff by a country mile.. but be prepared for some major 'WTF moments', especially the Top gear ones!
 
If you're used to playing NFS and Forza you will find it frighteningly realistic. If you're finding races too easy just disadvantage yourself! Turn off skid recovery force, active stability management, traction control, active steering and active braking. If racing the AI is still unbearable, join some online races :)

If you like this genre of games, and play it's competition, you can be forgiven for finding it a little lacking in a lot of departments.. But as I said, it's worth perservering as it does offer plenty enough to make it worth your while..

Havent played the game since i discovered that the 24 hour races couldnt be saved. Value my ps3 too much to put it through 24 hours non-stop racing.

I have loads of friends who did the exact same thing as myself, we just stopped playing it. The only races left to do, so sad.
 
I put stage one weight reduction on then added a fair amount of ballast weight toward the front of the car to make it 860kg (I think that's the weight limit anyway) it makes it much better on the exit of corners!

Fully customisable suspension - 3.0 degrees camber on the front and 1.8 on the back - make the rear anti roll bar stiffer than the front to improve turn in response. As for the other settings make the car lower and stiffer.

Add a rear wing and put down force on full as the track has minimal straights. Add an LSD, set the first setting to about 25, the second to 35 and the last to 30 (rough idea) and you should be good to go! Haven't looked at my settings for my car yet so they could be a little off. :p

Just think of it as a go kart with roid rage, the thing is insane, but not practical.

I own it and have never done a race with it. Would rather blast around in my fully modded R8/Lambo/Skyline or just for laughs my 427 Cobra... there's plenty of fun to be had with the right cars.
 
After a few games on the prologue I have finally picked myself up a copy of this game, I dare say I shall be reading through this lonnngggg thread in detail looking for tips and advice...

lol yea, part of me wants it for the sake of collection and part of me really doesn't because I freakin hate nascar and hate Jeff Gordon and his stupid annoying voice.
