Is my laptop SATA II or SATA III?

How would I tell this for sure? Gonna buy an SSD soon enough, but wanna check what interface the laptop has before I choose and buy.

Sony VAIO CA2Z0E
Core i5 2410m
4GB DDR3

Is there any software for telling, or can I spot any visual clues if I look for them? Cannot find anything in the user manual or on the Sony site.

SATA III drives would be backwards compatible with SATA II anyway, so even if you can't find it then you could get a SATA III and hope for the best

Yeah, it's just bugging me now 'cos I feel like it shouldn't be this hard to find out! Thanks for the luck, I think I'll need it!

That laptop uses the Intel HM65 Express chipset... http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/chipsets/value-chipsets/mobile-chipset-hm65.html

So it's capable of SATA3, assuming Sony have used those ports.

Thanks BlackAle. But still no definate way of telling what Sony have built in? It seems the only way of telling would be to plug in a III drive and bench it!
