Checked my CS3's the other day and was a bit surprised at the level of wear on them.
Brand new x4 in February this year, fitted to a petrol ST220. Done 7k miles since then.
I drive in a controlled but quick manner - accelerate fairly hard, but light on the brakes, no squealing or anything daft when cornering. (Have been observed by several advanced drivers as a "fast but controlled" driver).
The two fronts are down to about 2-3mm clear of the "bar", the rears are nearly "as new". I was expecting the fronts to wear reasonably quickly due to the car, but was surprised at the rate. I've looked at the tyres and wear is even, with no signs of scrubbing on them.
Judging by wear rate I guess I'd be looking at them being replaced at approx 12k miles. Is that about normal for something like this on a heavy powerful car, or is there a problem somewhere?
