So yeah you can find c300 64gb from crucial @ £46 and 7% tcb cashback atm.
The real issue here is it's refurb + only 30 days warranty.
They also do 128gb and 256gb.

What do you guys think?
A big NONO or YESYES

It depends on whether or not you're prepared to take the chance on having to pay for a new one yourself if anything goes wrong from day 31 to the end of the normal 3 year warranty.

Only offering 30 days doesn't exactly fill you with confidence.

Even refurbished Nvidia graphics cards, which I would say are more likely to fail, get a 1 year warranty.

I went for it in the end already got a c300 on laptop as well.
Going to use it as a boot drive then the other vertex 2e for games and files on pc.
Fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong.

I'd need to see a bigger discount or a much longer warranty to be tempted.

I did wonder what they could have refurbished. I wouldn't have thought it would be economic to replace individual components. I suppose they could just be dumping old inventory or revalidated customer returns.

My C300 has just failed.
So I think they are starting to get a few more starting to fail and be returned.
And if they can sell them on as refurbs good luck to them.
But dont think I would have one with out at least a 1year warranty.

If it does fail after 31 days
SOGA!

And pointing out this and you will have a good case.

my 64gig arrived today, stuck it in a usb caddy to format it, and thats all ive done so far

dont know if i should put it in the htpc, netbook, or my pc/dads pc for a games drive

i impulse bought :\

Decided not to buy. They'd been returned for a reason, and it seemed too high risk with only a 30 day warranty for a replacement for some hardware that had worked fine for 4 years (mechanical hdd).

I have been buying refurbished products from many different sites for a long time. It is a risk but sometims they are returned as people don't have the equipment to run them etc. I got an 6990 for less then £390 due to that fact.

Its a risk of course but if you want to save moeny etc..

If I got one of these, and wanted to check for 'glaring' errors within the first 30 days, is there any software I could use for checking? I've heard people mentioning SMART monitoring..?

So tempted for a 64GB drive if still available. At £45, I'd be tempted to gamble for my new laptop.
