I don't know much about Nuke Proof (how many revisions they make, how often etc) but I doubt it, the bike has technically been released for a while, but from what I've seen it's only been in stock for 3 or 4 months, if that, they were quite delayed getting them out.

Not sure what will happen now Brants left and gone back to on-one, can't see them bringing in a new model any time soon.

Anyone here done the Dragons Back at Coed Y Brenin? I normally only do 20 - 30 mile XC type rides with not too many technical bits, but I did the blue at Coed Llandegla a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. Not looking to get around super quick, just enjoying a day out on me bike but I've never done a red route yet and wondered if it was only for those with better technical skills. I've been out today practising dropping steps etc. Bike is a Cube Acid 2011 hardtail.

Local DH resort is too badly damaged to be open for this coming weekend, which is a long weekend in the US.

After yesterdays awesome day at cwmcarn im really tempted with a DH bike now, but with a serious lack of funds may have to sell/swap my current bike for one.

What sort of money can be expected for a 2011 Trek Remedy 8 now adays? All stock apart from 1x10 drivetrain (can revert back to 3x10 though).

The second hand market seems somewhat slow at the moment. Ive noticed so many full bikes being for sale for aaaages (even at what I would consider bargain prices). Reckon you'd be better off selling as parts if you are in a hurry, or alternatively try sites like Gumtree so you can catch some of the less experienced riders wanting to buy a new bike (who will compare your price to that of Evans cycles)

Dragons Back is an awesome trail. There are a couple of sections that will test you on a hard tail but nothing to worry about. IIRC there are a few small drops c1.5foot, but nothing to worry about. And some nice techy rock sections. There is only one way to become a better rider.

Wouldn't know where to start with selling off the parts, don't have all the tools needed to dismantle the bike.

Are all rims compatible with rims brakes?

I have a wheel from a Hardrock of some type and it was initally a disc brake wheel. Looking at it, I'm not sure whether I should be using rimbrakes on it.

It's an Alex rim if that helps.

Turner DHR I'm guessing... do yourself a favour though and match that nice frame with good forks - and by that I mean BOS Idylle or the new Marzocchi.

New carbon demos look the ****, love the "Sworks" painted on Brendan's bike. I saw Troy on his bike at Super Morzine, I saw the paint job but didn't notice that it's carbon!.

He was there with a Needles/Riffle and some others I didnt know. I tried to follow them down Hattock (black run)... but they lost me sooner than I expected
