I had made up my mind that I was going to buy the Asus as Ive had bad luck with gigabyte boards over the years, but then I came across the gigabyte Z68X-UD4. The only reason I wouldn't mind this board is cos its black, and Im having a black theme inside and outside for my next build. So which one would you get for reliability and performance?

the asrock extreme4 gen3(£170) seems to be the board of choice at the moment, it's bigger brother extreme7 is out shortly(£210 preorder).

You have change my mind again and after looking at some reviews, I'm almost deffo going to get the arock... 1 question though guys, those heatsinks look high around the cpu, will the "Thermalright Venomous X Black Edition" cooler fit ok?

I'm sure this has been asked before, how does the Gigabyte XP model differ to the X?

Thanks!

The X series were rushed out for Z68 launch and don't actually support most of the Z68 features, the XP boards were released later and do support the Z68 features fully.
