Is the OCZ Vertex 6gbs?

This HDD I bought actually has 6gbs in the title:
Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB SATA 6Gbs 32MB Cache WD10EALX - OEM

So I've got that in my 6gb port on my new asus mobo.
However this drive I own, I'm unsure if it is 3gbs or 6gbs:

OCZ Vertex 96GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive (OCZSSD2-1VTX96G)

Any idea?

No, it's Sata II afaik

So does that mean my mechanical drive is faster than my SSD?! :confused:

No, just it means that the interface on the mechanical drive is capable of handling data faster than the one on the SSD. The actual drive mechanism can't throw data at the interface that quickly though, it couldn't even saturate a SATA 1 link.

Ahh ok. So putting the mech drive in the 6gbs port probably doesnt do anything better anyway?

I doesn't make any difference if it's connected to a 6Gbps port or a 3Gbps port.
