The failings of Facebook search...

I'm Miss Canada because I don't want you to know you're being trolled.

Problem?

Just saying, the location filter doesn't accept my town as a location, but does accept the small villages surrounding it as locations. the search feature is not all that well thought out in my opinion.

If shes canadian just you keep trying until you find her.... canadian chicks are damn fine! *cough cough* lavigne *cough cough* <3

So I've been chatting to this girl a bit, and, for whatever reasons, I have no idea what her name is...

What.

I mean, OK, I probably should have asked her name, especially when she started giving me bored looks when I referred to her as Miss Canada! for the 48th time,

What.

Something's not quite right here....

Let me guess, all you know about her is "14/f/Canada"?

Edit: Have now read rest of the thread. Still- what. How can you not even know the first name of someone you've been speaking to for a couple of months?!

I don't say peoples names often when speaking to them. I was with my ex when I met her so I was a bit oblivious, and thus her name did not stick in my head....

I don't have a mobile phone... :/

"I was going to add you on Facebook last night but I couldn't find you, do you spell your name weirdly or something?"

Cue her spelling it out.
You look perplexed. Strange you couldn't find it...
High five!.

Speak to her like an adult and ask her what her name is. Which bit of this are you finding challenging?

You know, I always thought this was one of the fundamental basics of having a conversation with someone for any prolonged period of time (if sober) :o

It was going to be that Doohickey or her name was very easy to spell and would surely mark the OP as a fool for being unable to spell.

I worry about the future of our country when people who rely on facebook to get to know someone exist.

And how 'facebook' is now considered a word on my spell check.

I'm female.

And if i knew a man who was scared to ask my name I would run a mile.

He's hardly likely to be very assertive in other areas if he cant even pluck up the courage to ask a name, is he? ;)
