I7 2600k over clocked using asrock fatality m/b

When prime95 is running should I see any data movement on screen I have screen saying worker starting. On worker#1-8

yes in prime it should state what test it is running 512k etc

Ok I was impatient. After couple mins the text changed. I have. Fstream running behind to keep eye on temp. What temp is dangerous level?

as long as it is below say 80degrees your ok

Been running few mins now. From. Stream CPU at. 52c notice the CPU speed drop from 4000mhz to 3900mhz and go back up again. That part of stress test from prime95?

yes that is vdrop and vdroop it will go up and down what llc have you set?

Where can I see llc? What menu option? Would have to stop test to reboot and. Go in bios. Tho I'm thinking I may bump it up to 4500 and try it. Why do people say I can't go past 4000 if running 16gb ram?

im not sure how ram effects an oc but it does? two sticks are better than four, one is better than two.

see the llc lvl?

In bios now. My CPU pull voltage is at auto. 1.832. Shall I manual this to 1.709?

yes it will save you heat and at 4.5 you dont really need a high pll

Also in CPU setting I dint see c6. Only under drop down for package c support. Buts that's set to disable. That right?

yes thats right under cpu con fig

(I thought I posted this but don't look like it sent). Booted in windows now at 4500. Hw monitor states CPU vcore is 1.34v. Anything else to check? Cpuz detects the core speed at 4500. CPU temps between 29-37 on idle across 4 cores

WOW Thats not great service from OCUK. Only 4Ghz with 16Gb of memory??? You may as well have saved the money and not bothered. I have no issues running 4.6ghz with 16gb and have built a large quantity of the same config all running 4.5ghz prime stable for 50+ Hours with 16gb. Sounds as if a) they were being a bit lazy or b) that board is a poor overclocker... But according to other users its not.

just to clear some things up this is my set up which i doubt will work for you as all chips are different and you have 4 sticks of ram also.

bios (sorry for bad pics!)

cpu config

ram config

cpu ratio 50

my volts

mr priming

after an iffy start i actually find it a good board

How can I upload pics? Stress test running for good couple hours now and its at 3900. X39. Surely it shouldn't be dropping. If someone can tell me how I'll do screen shot of my bios setup
