Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

I'm not going to buy this game new at all. I'll get it used. Even if the used copy is just £1 cheaper than a new version. I refuse to give Activision any more money for a game i've already bought 3 times(MW1&2,Black Ops).

pointless stance to take IMO.

You either want to play the game or you don't. If you still want to buy the game, and play it, then just buy it.

Saying you want to play it, and are going to buy it second hand as a protest that Infinity Ward haven't made enough improvements to the game is ludicrous.

If you don't think its good enough. Don't buy it. At all.

You could think a game isn't worth the price though, for example FIFA street is due out soon, no way would I spend top dollar on that game due to it's playability will be rubbish, so I'll wait for it to become cheaper, then it will be worth it.

You could spend £20 on MW3 and buy the DLC and then the amount you spend on the game will be how much a normal game retails at.

At the end of the day we all know it will have problems, every cod has and always will do.

The day they make one that cant be hacked or anything will be the day they are charging upto £200 for the game.

We just have to make the most of it and enjoy it with out those flaws and if we can get our team back together then it will fine.

I for one wont be buying the COD Elite version, im not too fussed about it and I am just as happy buying the regular game, trying the maps out at a mates, if I like them then I will buy them but if they are like the MW2 ones then I wont bother to be honest. The first map pack wasn't too bad but the 2nd one was awful.

I found fuel way too big, you either needed a sniper or marathon on because if you died, you spawned on the otherside and it took you forever and a year to get back into the game, and then if you got killed again, well that just ****ed me off :p trailer park and carnival used to be just a one place battle field and was just who ever runs out of bullets first is going to die :(

Will see what they are like as I dont mind paying "extra" in the long run if need be!!

I've been keeping my eye on this game for ages and we've been told how this is going to be the most balaced COD ever etc etc.
Then we see the game and it turns out to be the same **** they've been shoveling us since COD4.
I'll get it at some point as my friends will all have it. But I refuse to give activision any more money til they give is something new. Such a dedicated servers or a new engine. Instead of what is basically a MW2 expansion pack.

For anyone that ordered Hardened Ed. from Blockbuster, they've replied to people on Twitter to say that they are going to honour the £65 price if you've already ordered.

Looks like we got ourselves a good deal :D

Also a few other tweets say that they'll be putting it back up for PreOrder soon, but they don't mention if the price will alter.

I don't think I will pre order it, my local supermarket had black ops in a deal with xbox points.I ended up with 4 copies of the game because I had 2 on Preorder online and they came late so I went on a mission to find me a copy, the super markets will have it cheaper then anybody so no point unless you want a special version , not sure if they will do hardened edition

£80 isnt too bad for hardened version.

Its not completely OTT considering the Hardened Edition usually costs ~£70 for a few tacky extras (now you get a few tacky extras AND included DLC :D)! But having it priced above Normal copy + Elite sub wasn't the best move :p.

Hmmm, If I get Elite, does that mean I can get the maps on any platform (Steam/XBL), if so that means I can get the maps if I buy it on PC as well, if not, no more maps for me! considering I've never bought any anyway.

im gonna enjoy it no matter. im used to the slight flaws in call of duty games but mw2 was easily the best one to date even if at times it was a little unbalanced, i one of the fortunate few that it doesnt effect as much as ive got a good internet connection (most of the time) and im a half decent player :P. So bring on the pain :)

I have 11 versions of COD here spread across 3 platforms (including prestige editions) :p

In hindsight I would still happily buy every one I have over again (bar WAW which I have on PC and Xbox) as I have clocked days and days on them the most probably being on COD1 as I played that for about 3 years solid. I have gotten value for money out of them all even the MW2 pack I bought for £129.99.

£20 for game and say 4 map packs bought of live @ £12 a set = £68 ?????

But MW2 was awesome (for me anyway) and this looks and plays like MW2 which is exactly what IW wanted and I want, not once have the mentioned game balancing what they did say was that tubes are going to be toned down and that stopping power would be taken out and all guns were going to have the damage increased to compensate. Along with removing the perks that were OP. As far as I can tell all this has been done so if this is MW2 with that lot taken out this will be the best COD so far. You know what they say if you can't take the heat then drop shot like a pro.

And again DEDICATED SERVERS HERP DERP! ***cough***Go play BF3***cough***
