OCZ Vertex 3 or Crucial M4 64GB?

Which one, I can afford both.

Also, when SSD's state their capacity (64GB, for example), does that mean it really is around 57GB like hard drives?

OCZ V3 & yeah same thing as per standard HDD's less than stated. First batch of OCZ v2 120GB (111GB) new batch (slimmer) OCZ v2 120GB (107GB)

Just make sure your mobo has intel sata 3 on it, to get the max speeds with the OCZ V3 (not marvel)

I only have SATA 2 though. As the V3 is more expensive than the m4, do you think it would be more sensible getting the m4 as the speed benefits will be less.
 
If you only have SATA 2 it would probably be better to pick up a larger sized Vertex 2 - unless you plan to upgrade to a SATA 3 mobo soon.

The addon PCI-E controller cards are pretty pants unless you're willing to spend a lot of money.
