Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Nice one, how much did you pay for it? Any mods?
I think the stock ones look good on BG.
Paid £3.5K. Seller was my Cousin so I wanted to give her more than 2p and a packet of crisps for it and equally she wasn't gonna charge me top-dollar :).

She picked up her nice new 61 plate RenaultSport Clio today. Had a poke around it, looks way bigger than the old 'un but I have to say the seats and steering wheel are lovely! Wonder if they can be fitted to a 182?

Nope, no mods on the 182. She had it for what 7 years and kept it completely standard  . I'd imagine that getting the standard wheels refurbed would be kinder to my wallet that changing them though! :)

Those who have/had brembo hc and ds2500, how many miles do you get out of them? I don't really want to have to spend that amount very often!

I've done 2 full days trackdays, probably 300-400 miles on track, and 3k on the road with mine and I would guess they have 1 trackday left in them. Road driving doesn't take much out of them.

Driving on the road, pads/discs will last ages. Its track driving that kills them.

Looking good WestyField, welcome to the club. Ask any questions you like on here, were pretty much got every 1*2 aspect covered in here :)

My first n00b question then: Bulbs. The side lights look yellow in comparison with the HID low beams, and the indicators look like fried eggs! Am I right in thinking that these are what I want for a 182 FF?

Also I've seen lots of cars these days with the silver indicator bulbs... but some of them when they flash orange are really feeble, nearly dangerous TBH, but others that are silver do seem to flash orange really well. Those Philips Silver Visions I linked above, are they any good? Or are there other silver bulbs that you guys use that flash orange better?

Mine died on Thursday evening. Oil everywhere, RAC were very good about it and recovered the car to a garage 85 miles away. Just waiting for the bill now, I just hope it is something cheap but I know that it already needs cam+aux belt and whilst they are doing that I will get the dephaser replaced as it sounds like a diesel when cold. I just hope it isn't a stupid amount as I don't know if it will be worth repairing.

Just remove the sidelight bulbs, it looks much better without them, and you don't have the horrible yellow with the nice white of the xenons. I've been running without sidelights for well over a year now.

The silvervision indicator bulbs I have look fine when I indicate.

I'd be more inclined to refurb them after winter tbh! you'd be gutted if they got ruined in the bad weather or by sliding into a kerb if it snows again...

Are you on standard 182 wheels? I've forgotten what colour your car is as well.

I'm out of the country over winter, hence thats why there getting done then.

Yeah standard 182 wheels, silver car.

alexisonfire down a PS of them panted gloss black, but then the tyres would need to be always full of tyre shine!

Are they the silver wheels or the anthracite cup pack wheels?

Gloss black looks terrible, imo

Cup pack wheels, so anthracite. They looked good but my locking wheel nuts got stuck on and trying to get them off theres a couple of scrapes on the wheels.

edit : The PS Alexisonfire done a while back -

Decided to be brave and put my diamond and bullets on. So far they haven't been ruined by the rain so all is well. :p

Excuse the muck, I got stuck behind a huge lorry spraying road dirt all over the front of the car :o

Looking good captain, i want to get some carbon exterior bits for mine but refuse to pay the price. Will just have to hold out for some 2nd hand bargains, they do come up.

I am absolutely missing my car at the moment, i want it back so hard.

Man hug please :(

Can you not just wrap them?

Not as if your going to lose any weight?
