The BC2 Demo appeared on Thurs 28th Jan 2010, but only after the 360 version had gone live.

So I suspect there's a similar arrangement in place for BF3. To get content on Xbox Live it has to be certified by Microsoft first, so this is where a lot of the delays are incurred, hence why they are not giving a firm date for the beta release.

The Beta is PC only I believe.
 
I hope this game isn't all show and no substance. It would be nice to have a game with as much longevity as BF2 and CS-S
 
orite chaps quick question. ive got MOH limited edition but the email i use for multiplayer is different to teh one that origin uses.

i recently assigined my MOH game to the differnt email that i use for origin. also i cannot seem to launch MOH via origin for some reason.

that related to the different email address used in multiplayer? will it aeffect my early access to beta?

Next we will be hearing that the xbox have got early beta exclusive lol.

Have you also noticed the way various adverts websites say coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC,i allways thought pc was the leading platform.so that should be first.
 
I'm seeing that a few GSPs are offering BF3 servers for pre-order on or after the 19th September - perhaps this is an indication of when the Beta will become available?

From what another GSP said (think it was Gameservers) was they the 3 that have got pre-order rental prices already out have been give a leg up (preferential treatment it seems) to get ahead of the competition. So I doubt it's an indication of the beta date as other GSP's have known for a while that they can't release pricing until then.

I also read, but can't find it now, that nobody will be able to rent servers for the beta, it'll purely from release day onwards only. So I suspect they'll be ending the beta before the release day.

Someone was spouting off earlier that they were a friend of an EA employee & was adamant that the beta would be released on 9th September. Personally, think it's a load of tosh & it'll come when it's ready.

They did the same with BC2... open Beta without control over servers. Open Beta closed down for a week then game was released. Servers came online 3 days before UK release, our server was full and none of us could even load the game up, was very strange!.
 
Not long now people, the problem is I know that when it comes out I'm going to be completeley overloaded with college coursework..

Gonna be fun juggling both I guess!

We will release a FAQ on beta stuff soon :). Hopefully that will answer your question.

Game companies should be banned from being able to use the word "soon" as their definition of the word greatly differs from the rest of the Planet. :mad:
