have yourself a 1 man party weekend, drink the wine and whisky, eat the meat cheese and sweets, and if aynone asks there was no present!!!
I was given a gift from a shop yesterday, and so was my driver. We both got to choose a spirit as we caught a shop-lifter, shop owner was thankful.
In my workplace, as long as what ever we are given has a receipt signed by the shop keeper, and saying gift, it is all fine.
Like-wise, if we buy any alcohol, we need to keep the receipt so we can get it out of the gatehouse...

A .58 Enfield 3 Band Percussion Musket, just a tad concerned with the reload times but being the fairplay chap that I am at least it gives them a fighting chance!

Any gifts we receive in work have to be declared. If they are deemed to be over a certain value then they are kept in storage and used as part of a free raffle we have at christmas. The exception to this is perishable goods (food, flowers etc) which are auctioned off there and then. But to be honest, most of this stuff comes in just before christmas anyway.
