Games that got critical acclaim but you hate?

I could play Halo 1 without a problem. It was a few years ago and I never finished that either. I never bothered with the rest of them. I think it was the dodgy movement on HL2 that cause it. It was like being on ice IIRC
It was so bad it got excluded from everyones memory (ill never get my money back for it)
Im sure EA just payed off every review in the known universe before that was released

Oblivion - Tried hard to get into it. I was playing it on a laptop without mods recently so that probably affected my opinion of the game. Really small map, too few voice actors, and uninspiring combat.
KOTOR - Good storyline but the combat in the game put me off.

Pretty much any rpg Bethesda ever released. Their way of story telling just isn't for me. Oh, and DA2...major disappointment there.

.I don't hate The Witcher 2, i enjoyed it and think it's a good game. However i am completely baffled by the hype around it, it is only just above average and nothing special at all imo. I can't believe some people think it is one of the best games ever.
Also, it would be pointless saying Dragon Age 2 as everyone has found it out now and no one seriously considers it a great game.
Also another thing i can't stand is people who, when they don't like a game start saying that it is "too simple" or "dumbed down" with an air of smugness, as if it is their job to play games and not fun as most people see it.

The new Deus Ex. I just can't get a good feeling for it at all. Will try to play it some more as hopefully it will eventually grab me as I loved the original. But right now, I'm just not enjoying it

All critics were getting a bit excited about this one(given that deus ex 2 was **** i had my doubts in anyway).
Witcher 2 is highest on my **** list though.
Both games don't get the fundamentals right in my opinion, like combat.
Now that is strange....
I loved 2 and Brotherhood(especially Brotherhood) but i found the first game to be incredibly boring
Halo 2 and onwards - I absolutely loved the first one, played it so much but I never managed to stick with the others for some reason... I didn't like the multiplayer in comparison to COD multiplayer, and the single player just seemed to lack something
