What a terrible, terrible video.
It will probably teach you more and make more sense.
And leave a bitter taste in my mouth.
Wait what.
if your wanting to watch this all the way through then your life is out of sync![]()
Seen enough of that, my tin foil hat obviously isn't thick enough
So if I understand this (haven't watched the video for obvious reasons) your complaining that a company doesn't want to invest in a product which could severely reduce it's sales and therefore profit?
So a global conspiracy to hide technology that will reduce their profits by small amount... Now we need to forget about the money they would make from patents etc as well...
Problem is, any company would need to patent the idea to stop others also developing the same idea, and patents are both freely publically available and only a temporary protection.
Summary -
They have the technology to get silly mpg but have no interest in bringing it to market.
While i am sure it is true to a certain extent, the film makers obviously put a lot of spin on the subject.
Considering the number of car manufactuers 50 years ago, i would be suprised if one didn't bring it to market, not forgetting the home brew tech people have been working on across the world.
We have had cars that will do 60mpg for 10 years but nobody cared enough until the prices went up 50% in a few years.
Take these 60mpg oil burners, stick on an overdrive etc and 75mpg would be possible, at the expense of any kind of pleasure.
Man, they are freaken evil.
in that case, why have car manufactures and governments supported electric cars. Why are there government grants in the millions for infrastructure and why have we agreed to be of fossil fuels almost entirely by 2050.
Back in the 60's, it was reported that someone had developed a fuel system that would return up to 90 mpg on a Citroen DS19 which was quite a big car back then while even many smaller cars returned little better than mid-30's mpg at that time.
Apparently the oil companies quietly bought up the patents and it disappeared from the market.
Whether this was true is questionable but it would make financial sense given how much the oil companies would have lost in revenue and profits if the frugal fuel system was commonly addopted by most manufacturers.
1: Because we'll run out of fossil fuels. There is no other reason. And the earlier they adopt, the more car manufacturers can milk the market. It's got sod all to do with saving the environment for them. Plus the tax breaks for going green are beneficial.
2: Because the green agenda is a popular moral stance at the moment which means vote winning. It also reduces our reliance on what fuel is left, from abroad.
