Read it yet? I think you'll find the vast majority of that was commonplace while playing BF2, especially in the demo and soon after the full game hit. :)

What are you gibbering about ? if you're attempting to imply than nothing in that article actually happened ingame, then simply put, you're wrong. Yeah its exaggerated (given the site i assumed that would be obvious) but a lot of it did go on ingame.

Your game experience depended entirely upon the sort of people on the server. Sometimes you had a bunch of selfish idiots, other times you'd get a really good lunch of people who wanted to play as a team.

It looks as though you are asking if everybody playing BF3 is going to play the game like in the article

Which is just a ridiculous question. Of course they aren't.

Its from something awful, i thought sarcasm and that site being hand in hand was public knowledge, obviously not.. . But the fact remains a lot of this went on in BF2, its exaggerated in the article but it still has a basis.

Obviously you're looking at it wrong, i asked "How much of this will be applicable to BF3", not "Hey guys you lot gonna tard up BF3 like in this article". Not even sure how the hell you came to that conclusion based on how i asked the question.

And the fact is a lot of it will still happen in bf3, as a lot of it can be applied to ANY BF game.

If it required more than a brain cell and completing an objective, good luck is all I can say. :p

Agreed. I'd already made this point to some in here that they were remembering BF2 with rose tinted spectacles, especially when it came to the commander mode :p

More along the lines of the messing around that goes on in BF games, i don't even think its a matter of players being crap, its more a matter of its a very easy game for people to mess around in and it have a negative effect on the team.

Wasn't really a question if im honest, just bringing back memories of the madness of the BF2 demo, wasn't till retail that admins started being able to clamp down on the shenanigans. :)
 
sometimes though the shenanigans were more fun :D

I remember one time on oman i took a jet from the MEC airfield, flew over to the US carrier and jumped out over water. Swam up to the ship, into the rear bay were the RIBs were and inside the ship.

Went up on deck and covered the black hawk in C4, then retreated to a safe distance. Let the blackhawk go off full of people, let it get almost to land, then blew it up killing everybody on board.

Completely selfish but hilarious fun and they all were wondering "WTF !!!" lol :D
 
Must admit to having a few 'moments' in BF2 myself :D

Flying the chinook type chopper with a full load on that map with the boat at sea as the base... going well, then bailing out to watch the thing nosedive everyone into the water... or getting a plane and driving it down the road, until it blew as the things were very sensitive. Or popping some C4 onto something, watching it go into the distance before a little click and poof :D

One of those do it at silly oclock in the morning just before you log off as you need a chuckle before bed.
