I know, it's getting very old. I am however working away from home at the moment, so even if they released it tonight, I wouldn't be able to play it till Friday.

Yup, wouldn't suprise me in the slightest if the Beta arrives with a day or 2 to spare this Month.

Its obvious this is more down to EA than Dice, but this "soon" BS is just getting tedious.

Yeah it's getting very stale now!!

If they release Beta now, atleast this will give us a chance to play it for atleast 2 weeks if they allow that much time any way. That way DICE can have feedback one month before final product release date.

However if they were to release Beta at the end of september and allow it 10 playable days, then DICE only have 2 weeks or less to make final changes before the actual product release date lol. In that such short space of time, Beta would already be a finished product or DICE will just rush some of the further changes :rolleyes:

I think it's best if they release Beta this week.

Funny thing is when its released, Bricks will be **** and everyone will forget about the wait, and the Trolling etc.

Hmm not sure about that, previous was TRIANGLES and i'm sure the battlelog forums will be full of complaints.

You would think the Beta would be a good way to snag additional Pre-orders. Obviously a lot will pre-order after playing the Beta, right now they seem content rolling out SP gameplay footage and letting that do the talking.

I get the feeling that Beta is 95% of the complete game. The rest of the maps can be added a bit later with few tweaks and voila, Full Game!!.

As DICE already stated that they have made '100s' of changes since Alpha. So I think the game is almost done.

I agree with people who say that Beta is usually a finished product. Devs just like to call this stage 'Beta' to cover their ass in case the product doesn't live up to the expectations at this stage.

That is correct. I would assume most pre-orders would be generated within the most intensive advertising period before launch.

the beta we get will be almost done .

the beta, people will of been testing now will be less . once they are happy with that build it will be on to the open beta we play.

they will just add little patches until its faily bullet proof or ready for stablish release. whether its already at this stage no one will say or if its just marketing spin now with pre orders.

look at how many are buying pre orders just to get in two days early

big carrot which dissapears as soon as open beta starts.

should see another video soon aswell to crank up the hype and get another wave of sales going

Well repi (dice rendering guy) has stated that the beta for pc will have MOST of the graphics options available, so the contreast between beta with most options and final with full options should be interesting. With bc2 the only thing the beta didn't have was hi-res textures, and they really made bugger all difference.

Well you shouldn't get sick from this like you do Borderlands/Dead Island.

I had the sickness in Borderlands and sorted it with the config tool, Dead Island has been fine even though the FOV is low.

Battlefield 3 looks just like any other FPS and should be fine for you.
