Driving Instructor Ramble.

What legal and safe  25 in a 30, 35 in a 40 etc.

Bear in mind that your speedo will likely over read a bit too, so if you're doing an indicated 25 in a 30, you're probably more like 23mph, 33mph in a 40 etc.

It's unnecessary and frustrating :p

If I'm being tailgated by someone impatient, I literally just brush the breaks and they either back off or I just slow down even more to the point of being stationary :).

my girlfriend does that, I just overtake the slow person as soon as I can.

I know I'm a dick, I just hate slow drivers, they aggravate people and cause other drivers to get frustrated and I know speeding isn't a good thing, but slow drivers cause accidents too.If the speed limit is 30, then why do 20? do 28 at least

There isn't much more annoying in the world of day to day driving than people who refuse to travel at the speed limit :p

I don't know about these days but DEFINITELY in my day he would have failed his test doing that.

Failed for doing what, the speed limit? Or do you mean under the limit?

On a test you drive at the speed limit, no more, no less. If you're driving slow everywhere, they'll fail you under the hesitation guidelines.

If you aren't confident enough to drive at the speed limit, you shouldn't be driving unfortunately.

I must have been lucky the day of my test then .

I always told in my driving lessons you had to drive at the speed limit as you can be failed for failing to make progress by driving too slow. It also cheeses other people off stressing you and them out which can also cause accidents!
