Had this on pre-order, epic edition as well but cancelled it earlier today as i havent got any time to play games that much these days...too busy with the missus and doing stuff with her ie going out and enjoying life rather tnan sitting at home wasting my life playing games.

I'll probably pick it up in a few mths when i get some time to play it.

Game are shipping copies early as there is huge demand, we won't get it any sooner as the couriers will hold it until the 20th.

I'm in two minds to be honest....I'm a sucker for collectors editions, and this one seems to be one of the better releases.
Still, £100......allot to drop on a game

Well if you have the money spare which im guessing you do as i dont just forget about £100 and you like it then keep it, Lots of things we like are expensive its just if you can justify it.

P.S I did pay £89 but only due to having reward points which is still allot but i did put some aside from when it was announced so it hasn't effected me too much!

I havent decided wether to pay a little extra and see if it comes early via shopto or pay the now cheapest £35 blockbuster deal (that I've seen). Then theres the £40 tesco with 800 msp.. decisions decisions!

I'm still stuck 50/50 about whether I should buy this game.

FIFA12 is just on the horizon and whenever I get a chance to play my Xbox i'll no doubt be playing that, or BF3/MW3.

I loved the first and second but I ended up losing interest pretty fast. In a nutshell, is it worth £35?

It'l be the best Gears yet but if you only want it to finish the story I'm sure it'l drop liike any other title over time. Some of the multiplayer horde and beast mode stuff looks lots of fun to play with mates even if you dont fancy competitive multiplayer.

Anyone know who Game have used to ship the Epic edition? Fancied just checking my tracking number but neither Royal Mail or UPS recognised it (I remember Game used UPS for MW2 years ago)

I suspect they will be using parcel force for these.

Does this game have the online code like before, so If you use it the value of your game on resale plummets?

I'm thinking of renting it and wondering if I will end up having to buy an online code as well?

Did 2 ahve a code? I honestly can't remember.
I got the CE of 2 and then sold the lancer code, but I used the bonus maps code, cant remember having to enter one specifically to be able to play online.

A website called hitari are doing the limited edition for £49.99. I was going to get it from there til I saw the gamestop price. That may be your best bet now.

Danny - as far as I know there is going to be a map pack code in this game.
