*** Official Dead Island Thread ***

I really hate the fact you cant play it offline, my internet has been down since Sunday due to roadworks and so i have been unable to play :(
 
No ones getting constant crash to desktop in multiplayer? All the guys in my sessions are, sometimes even crashing out together.
 
If I enable vsync my game gets jerky, so god knows whats happened there.

I just leave it off and have everything maxxed and it runs with no problems and looks spiffing :D
 
Another gripe im going to post is again based on the world being a living place... I hate the way that the zombies always spawn in the same place... especially on the roads in the beach map.

I mean id rather the game have 'x' amount of zombies available to it and have them placed and walk around as they wish and then once they die thats it. Make it more realistic like a real situation where by no new zombies can just appear in place of those that died.

Yeah, thats probably the most disapponting thing so far for me, but it does not bother me too much.

Just a slight randomisation to spawning would have been nice. Just reminded me of Far Cry 2 :(
 
Duno if it affects pc users but be careful of the patches because the console ones i.e ps3 has a patch which messed up peoples saved games and progress was lost.
 
Had a good run with Teal C earlier, then my game froze :(

Good fun, anyone who has completed the game - at the end are all areas open and sort of sandboxy? ie I can go around killing off zombies/doing any sidequests that were missed?

I haven't finished it but it's common knowledge the game just ends at the end.

Not sure if you found out but you have the blue print for it, when you go to a work bench you have the option or repair/upgrade or make I think it is, go to make and you'll see the option in there. You'll need all the stuff to make it though.

No blue print here lol... I got the game from GMG after it was released but I sill got the DLC code entered it into steam.

I've completed it, did all the side quests also. It will load the main menu again, when you click play or continue it will ask you if you want to start the game again with your character development and inventory intact. i.e ; I started the game again at level 38. So I'm on my 2nd play through in the city as of now still really fun :D

Dont let this put you guys off wanting to complete it, it still really fun! Ive had some epic rewards from early quests this time around :D
