****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

Got my SGSII coming tomorrow managed to get Orange to leave me on a 12 month contract.

What are the going prices for the SGS now? Recycling it I can get around £175! Not sure if I will get much more on ebay for it or not.
It's rooted, running custom rom, boxes, manuals, case and car holder/charger etc..

Got one coming tomorrow. Rang Tmobile to complain about the signal strength where I live and they instantly dropped the last 15 months of a 2yr contract to £10! So jumping straight on one of these with the 12 month contract. Sell my Samsung omnia and I am even.

Anybody found a way to turn the "Battery Fully Charged" beep off? Wifey charges her S2 at night and says it annoys her, but she needs the volume up for the alarm clock function.

If you have the phone on silent it will just vibrate quickly :)

Alarm will still sound though, I use my phone as my alarm now as i dropped my normal alarm :( Still goes off every morning with it on silent.

Another quick question, what is the best way of migrating from the SGS to the SGSII.

My SGS is rooted, flashed etc.. got titanium backup on it so want to just switch everything from one phone to the other. Does your googlemail account remember all the apps you have paid for?

can anyone tell me how to turn voicemail off on this phone? going on holiday on thurs, even looked at th pdf user guide and cannot see anything.

also, anything else i should turn off aswell?

How do you mean? You don't want people to be able to even leave you messages?

You probably want to just turn data off.

Back all you apps and data up, to the SD card. Move the card to the new rooted device and restore them...

Texts and call logs can be done with a variety of apps such as My BackUp Pro.

thanks muchly

You don't want to turn voicemail off just divert all calls to voicemail before you leave the country. This way you won't get charged for people who leave you voicemails.

Answer machines are network not phone feature call your provider.

First thing I do is get that disabled I hate answer machines my phone (all mobiles do:rolleyes:)tells me if I had a missed call and or people can allways text me if its urgent.
