Who here thinks the Samsung galaxy s2 will beat the iphone5?
I had a iPhone 4 prior to getting a Samsung galaxy s2 and i can say for me personally the Samsung galaxy is easily the better phone... by a mile.

Guess we will find out when the iPhone 5 is revealed.I'm still coming to terms with how good my new shiny phone is!, it is so powerful!
Got to admit i was a bit of a iPhone fan boy prior to getting the galaxy s2 but now i have seen the light.
I didn't realize it is still to be released to the yanks, i have a feeling it is going to do well.

I don't even think the Galaxy S II is better than the iPhone 4, never mind the iPhone 5. :)

They both have different strengths and weaknesses, just get the one you prefer. The sole fact you've posted such a post means you're probably already trying to justify NOT getting the iPhone 5 incase you like the look of it. I see it all the time. Hilarious stuff.

Also, you've posted in the Galaxy S II thread... of course people are probably going to agree with you... (see above point).
 
OT, but coming from Nokia phones my wife got the original Galaxy S when it first came out, then switched to a black iphone 4 when it came out. After 2 month's use she switched back to the GS. She prefers the bigger screen and widgets. But then when the white iphone 4 came out, she fell in love with it and switched again!

Now, she sees my GS2 and wants one in white. I said NO. Stick with your ip4 and wait for the ip5 as I am sure even if you have the GS2, you will still make the switch when the ip5 comes out. I guess its one of those "but its an iphone" syndrome..

Anyway, I will buy the ip5 (hopefully white) direct from Apple for the wife whenever it comes out and first thing i will do is compare them :)

Samsung Dive update is quite nice, seems they're actively adding new features! Call forwarding and Screen unlocking are the latest additions.
 
anyway to change the swipe for the lock screen? I hate it feels so crap.

Old Galaxy had a nice dial where you can unlock or set sound off.
 
WidgetLocker and Agile Lock are perhaps the best two lock screens.

I'm currently using No Lock to remove any lock screen. Do we really need it?

I used to think that after having a I4 for a bit, but my bro visited for the weekend and comparing the two together we both came to the same conclusion the GS2 is the far better phone and he has now sold his I4 for a GS2 :)

After messing with a I4 again I just thought it was rather basic and nothing you can really do to it like android, and I guess the 5 will be the same as its on the same IOS, so my Iphone days are over I think I want something you can do a lot more with not be stuck and tied down.

Samsung Dive's new unlock screen feature says you need to update the firmware so it seems the 2.3.5 rumour may well be pretty accurate :p
 
If you've forgotten your screen unlock pattern/pin you can unlock it via Dive, would be one reason I suppose.

Ah, glad it's not just me getting that error. Mine just has 2.3.3 KF3 and the message gave me no indication of what Firmware I need to try the new Dive feature!!

No I5 for me it will be stupidly over priced I will wait for the next lot of Android phones, can't see the point of having a phone that on spec will no doubt only be as good as what I have now, when I upgrade I want it to be better in all departments.

My next phone will no doubt be a upgraded 3D phone as I still like them.

Does anyone know whats happened to the CM7 nightleys? Nothing for two weeks now. I heard it was down to the recent kernel.org security issues, but not sure how true that is and it doesn't prevent them building using github sources :confused:
