Check out these photos ladies... gonna need a decent system to run at this quality!

Photo 4 of 18, I think not, can easily run that with a rage 8mb.
Picture 17 of 18 reminds me of the old low poly player gun models in Counter Strike, just the shape of that acog.

Why has everyone been hoodwinked into thinking that you need a great system to get decent graphics, for instance Hard Reset looks good, runs fine on my 4870. Arma 2, looks poor, runs poor. GTA4, looks rubbish, runs even worse. The Witcher 2, highly scalable and looks pretty good.

BFBC2 runs flawless on my current setup (in sig) im hoping BF3 wont be to overkill but dont have any issues running other high end games such as GTA Crysis etc even if i still do have DDR2 ram :D it does the job just fine

GET TO DA CHOPPER

this game is going to be very good the alpha test i tought was really good the lasts sections of the map when pushing was also very awsome.

i have same cpu same speed and same card i wont touch pc as i know it will play fine at what i play bfbc2 at ;) only difference i have ddr 3 mem which wont make any difference.

those screen shots dont look that great and yes game will oboiusly over hyped :p who ever was on about hard reset yes that engine is awesome more destruction and looks better than bfbc2 and runs flawless . hopefully its going to be used in other games.

Anyone else get the feeling this game is getting hyped up far too much,

Makes me think back before GTA IV was released and everyone went mad for it, I always find myself let down :(

I hope this isnt the case though since iv just spent over £400 upgrading my computer pretty much for this release and still need to buy a new graphics card yet.

Also just checked and iv had this game pre-ordered since the 3rd of march!

Isn't hype a personal thing though :P Then with you saying you have spent £400 for release I'm guessing your pretty hyped too.

It will have its flaws it's still a video game and isn't going to change the industry in a day. But hopefully it will be playable and a jolly good laugh to play!

Just received an email from EA about bonus battlefunds.

What are they and are they applicable to BF3?

It mentions Battlefield play4free.

I also received this email and got all excited, nearly did a sex wee in my panties then realised it was about play4free and cried a little :(

thought it was beta news

I hope it's Sli compatible because the alpha wasn't!

What does this mean?

Everyone in here was saying to me dont worry and now this... so basically to play BF3 ive got to take a card out each time and then plug it back in again?

EA better sort this out - i might cancel my pre order if I cant run this at max settings just because ive got 2 cards

LOL.

The Alpha did not supported crossfire / SLI, simply because it was an Alpha. It is up to Nvidia and AMD to get it optimised and they did not have the time, nor I doubt the inclination to spend time optimising it when it was only out for a short period of time.

Chill Winston.

Definately, I am about to pull the trigger on a £300 upgrade, BF3 is very important for PC hardware sales, I think.
