Wearing videogame t-shirts in public

This dude came into my shop ages ago wearing an aperture science shirt that was just awesome. He had a beard and glasses and made a joke about being Gordon freeman. I nearly took a picture of him, but I thought it'd be a bit weird and unprofessional. So actually its very cool to wear gaming shirts... According to me anyway

I do, but only if they're suitably clever or subtle.

It also depends on who I'm with.

I have a group of friends who are gamers and aren't your stereotypical gaming losers so we tend to wear them if we're going round for a gaming session / cinema or just somewhere casual and relaxed.

I sometimes were them out, but if it's out on a general trip out I'll only do it if they're subtle or clever as quoted.

It's always funny / geeky when you're out and your t-shirt gets the nod of approval from other geeks in hiding.

If you really care about what people may think of you for wearing a bloody tshirt then get of your shell. Who gives a damn what you wear? It's your choice where what the hell you want to wear.

It's generally the prejudge mental **** heads that speak out, and who gives a damn about them anyway?

I got over 30 different Megadeth T-Shirts that I wear day in day out, couple of shirts from George/ASDA, Ghostbusters t-shirt, FF7 and Advent Children and a few Intel ones. If people want to play thee old "oh looks what he's wearing" bags of laugh game I'm pretty certain what they wear is beyond laughable.

Perfect example, couple of girls in uni wear fake dreads and think they're cool. I'm mocked because I'm a big fan of FF7 at 19 wearing a tshirt. Guess they own huh?

Mmmm, got a few - always think I'll wear them out but never do, along with all the other slogan t-shirts I've aquired.

Once wore a Zippy from rainbow t-shirt out in a chavvy pub. Got some funny looks, surprised I didn't get a kicking.

Oh dear. Today was working out so well before I found out this news :(

I like it when you see people who have band t-shirts on, upon speaking to them at the bar they have no idea who the band in question is :(

I think its sad that people feel they cant wear what they want these days due to the fear that people will call them sad or think less of them.

I also find some of the people in this thread funny that would immediately say "no, never in my life would I wear a gaming shirt". To me that simply suggests that you care too much what others think.

Personally I wear band T-Shirts all the time and rarely wear anything else. I like to come across others in the street wearing stuff from the same band and give a smile or a nod of the head :p

It's no worse than wearing band t-shirts in public. Wait, do people still do that or am I stuck in the 80's?

I buy t-shirts at concerts, and then wear them.

Problem?

Also, lol at the 'sad' comments. Clearly this forum is awash with the fashion elite. I didn't realise this was Fashion Clothing UK.

Say wut?

For real!? :rolleyes::rolleyes:

"oh I liked the design and... felt people needed to know they were touring"

wtf...

Quite happy to wear gaming t-shirts and genuinely not too fussed what other people think of it. Figure if they're going to judge me negatively for it, I don't want to know them anyway. :)
The few times anyone I don't know has commented on a shirt I've been wearing, it's always been positive anyhow.

Edit: Not gaming related but currently wearing this http://qwertee.com/product/hike-n-chully-to-the-rescue/ :D
