If beta does come at the end of this month and say lasts for one week, then DICE only have around 2 weeks to make any further modifications before the official release date.

So I think in this case only minor modifications could be made even if they receive massive feedback again from gamers.
 
Could be star wars theyre talking about apparently:

If you read the tweet from that Dannysheps, you'll see he's talking about Old Republic and BF3. Both are EA Games and Old Republic have been delayed few days ago til the end of the mont so she's maybe talking about Old Republic even if I highly doubt about that fact.

how many gb do you think the game will be... my guess is 15gb

None of the beta feedback regarding gameplay will make it into the retail game, it will have gone gold well before the beta ends (normally a few weeks before launch), the beta will be for day 1 (and beyond) patch changes and server testing.

So Beta is more for a patch (after game release) and server testing then.

I ordered on Origin, but I don't see anything in my email about 48 hour early access. Maybe I will get an email when the beta begins. Their page clearly states that you get 48 hour early access to the beta.

Same i ordered on origin and got no details about beta or strike to karkhand.

It just says in origin Battlefield 3 Limited Edition (unreleased)

Im guessing that it automatically knows what to do as its Limited Edition.

Yeah, It'll be for stuff that's best tested by several (hundreds of) thousands players rather than the limited number of testers at DICE, like balancing issues, server load stress testing, etc.

Anything that needs changing gameplay wise that's not server-side will probably be in a day 1 patch, depending when the game goes gold.

Don't forget it's still a beta, even if it's released that's no guarantee that you'll be able to log in and play :p especially if they're doing server stress testing (which involves purposefully overloading the servers with more players than it can/should handle so that come launch everything goes as it should ;) ) anyone else remember the Killzone 3 beta :D
