I'll pop on to mumble when I see one of you guys on LoL. Not on mumble too much these days as it seems since my recent decline in skill I get less invites lol. Should be on later tonight if you guys are on to get authenticated. Will use mumble name as Tashohnie now to reflect my in game name.

People tend to look at the mumble player list rather than in game when they're looking for people so I tend to find just sitting on mumble is a better way to get a game if you don't mind waiting a little while.

I might be on tonight for a few games or I might not be, depends how lazy my mates are about going out :p

When I was melting face I was getting spam invited all the time (never was on Mumble) now I suck I don't lol.

You started up your ranked again yet? I'm going to play jungler for 2-4 weeks and then do ranked again as a jungler I'm going to play

I still haven't got round to ranked yet despite having played this for over a year! Need to at some point... Keep saying that and it still don't happen lol :p
 
I'm honestly not fussed about ranked now, just seems more stress and less social as can only duo (is this right?).

See I like normals because it's fun, less stress etc.

However I hate the fact the meta isn't followed, I hate it when we have a jungler and they have say Mord and Irelia solo top, when they have Garen and Talon bottom with their double silence etc.

I enjoy the support/carry bot/ap mid/jungler tanky DPS top.
 
I just prefer the idea of 5-way speaking teams, and strict meta rules don't appeal either. Plus I'd feel bad if I did poorly as it would affect the ELO of the other people.

If you want to see 'meta followed' you're more likely to find it in ranked.
(Though that's not what I experienced in my first and only 2 ranked games)

You still have ELO in normal though? Although its not not visable in came unless you go looking at your profile in your game files (Not sure if this is still possible, but it was about 6months ago)

EDIT-Just check a link on the forms and you can't check the Normal ELO anymore, but you do still have one in normal mode.

I don't see normals are less stress. They certainly drag on a lot longer than normals which are average 30 minutes or less, because of the snow ball nature of the game. People, including myself, don't play normal mode games right. Its like playing poker between friends without money. When there is no risk, you don't care if you lose so you go in on every hand. Sure you might scoop the pot with a pair of 2s on the river, but it totally ruins the game for anybody that actually knows a thing or to about poker :p
 
I find the opposite to be honest. I'd rather gouge out my own eyes with a rusty spoon then play ranked with the whiny little babies that seem to be so common in the low elo pool. They complain about everything. It makes it hard for me to enjoy it. I'd rather play normal with my mates and just have a laugh.
 
The big/huge disadvantage of normals is the lack of draft mode - without that as has been said before it really is a big game of chance on what type of gimped team you may be against. The big disadvantage of ranked is people get protective about their stats. My preference would be to always play ranked as a 5 :)
 
Did a pure 5x AP troll game with the Mumble crew :D
We all went mid and got the early gank, went to our lanes, and just nuked them the whole game until they surrendered, with one of them rage quitting in the first 10 minutes.
Lux + Veigar + Annie + Casseopia + LeBlanc = pure lolcakes

I've got it on lolReplay but it seems this forum doesn't allow attachments...
 
What the **** is with people today? I'm on my third leave at champion select because people can't even pick a team properly. All we need is a solo top and an AP carry so he picks twisted fate and demands solo top over jarvan. Then we get an Ashe who picks heal and clarity and demands solo mid rather then laning with the support and then we get someone who picks a SECOND AP carry and demands solo mid?!
