Well guys ive just upgraded to 100meg from 50meg.. all went smoothly, dont see why they sent an engineer out and replaced my superhub with the same one tho..

It's great that broadband in the UK can reach these speeds, but at the end of the day shouldn't VM be trying a bit harder to reach out to rural areas, rather than giving the large cities a boost from 50MBit to 100MBit?
They seem to just be taking the most profitable areas and offering them stupid speeds, where most villages are still struggling with 2MBit or less.
Just my $0.02 really.
Well how is it fair to just cut people off totally if they don't live in a city? Plus i'm not talking about taking a loss - i'm talking about branching out to those who they will still turn a profit from. Virgin are literally skimming the thickest cream off the top of the milk bottle and leaving BT and the others with the utter dregs.
It just seems.... retarded.... that some people are getting a 100MBit internet connection, whereas some are still on dialup.
Common sense business model?

if you have a VIP package with VM, you may find 100mbit is cheapear :S
strange i know lol because their prices quote its more.. but when i upgraded i was told my bill would go down.
Yup... I went from ~£35/month for 50mbit to an average of barely over £20/month for 100mbit for the next 12 months
I got lucky with quidco / rententions bargaining![]()
